I was up in the air for a long time over our save-the-dates.  There are so many fabulous and cute ideas out there that I really like and love!  We had just come back from a vacation in Hong Kong and Bali (our engagement gift from my future sister-in-law!) and we didn’t have much time to spend on them so we agreed that we’d keep it simple enough to bang them out in a few days and send them off to our guests.  My awesomeeeee bridesmaids decided that “simple” wasn’t doing it so they held a mini photo-shoot for us at one of their apartments.  It was so much fun using props around her kitschy-chic apartment!  Another one of my bridesmaids offered to help design a magnet that I originally had in mind.  So we decided to do both!  And here it is – our STD’s!

Not a lot of people believed  us when we told them this was taken in an apartment.  The wonders of photoshop!  The back of these cards was a map of the island detailing a list of accomodations available.  We wanted to keep the options open for our guests so we didn’t block rooms at any particular hotel.  This was a good choice because everyone stayed exactly where they wanted to. 

Bridesmaid N worked with me to create this uber cute boarding pass magnet to include in our STD’s.  I love it!  At first, I was a bit apprehensive about sending our guests something that I would imagine would be tossed aside but surprisingly, we have spotted them on many our friends’ fridges!

I’m quite  happy how these came out and I’m SUPER happy that it cost us less than $45 to have 100 of each printed.  What a deal and HOORAY for budget-friendly!  We put these kraft envelopes (my love for kraft to be in a later post), stamped our initials on them and sent them on their merry way to our guests.
