A Westin Bride’s Wedding Website

jingandjeffI’m so excited that one of my favorite brides has given me permission to share her wedding website with you! I’ve gotten to know “Jingle96” through the Aruba.com and WeddingBee.com forums. Her wedding is now just weeks away but she has been working hard for months! If you want to know more about planning a wedding at the Aruba Westin, or just destination wedding planning in general, check out: http://allaboutjingnjeff.weebly.com/. She is really ambitious and has lots of great ideas. In particular, check out her blog and DIY section! She did gorgeous invitations as well as cute save the dates, menus, accessories and more! (And what a beautiful couple, huh? The picture to the left, is just one of the stunning photos on their website.)

  • Jerrhelyn,
I just took a look at your wedding website, and I had to laugh at all the similarities we have with our weddings. We are also from right outside of DC (closer to Baltimore). I was actually going to get married on May 28th but my sister got pregnant and it was too close to her delivery date. Now we are pushed back to Aug. 6th. Our rings are very similar (I too specifically wanted a diamond that wasn’t sticking up too high). My fiance almost went with the Calvin Klein linen suit, but then he ended up with the linen suit from Nordstrom instead. His groomsmen are doing the linen pants from Nordies and a white shirt. I’ll have to take a look at the J. Crew one you picked because we haven’t picked that out yet. Are you having the groomsment wear a boutinnere with the shirts? I’ve also been absolutely obsessed with Scott Hayne’s photography. We contacted him, but since we decided to also have a reception back in MD after Aruba, we decided he just wasn’t in our budget. I think you made such a good decision going with him. You’ll have those pictures forever. I too want to wear my hair down because I’ve got the typical asian round face, but I’ve been worried because of the wind. I’ve literally have been stressing myself out about this dilemma. Up or down? Please let me know if it really is too windy to wear your hair down. Also are you wearing a veil? I have nightmares that my veil flies away in the wind or strangles me.

I wish I could say I was also as organized and on top of my wedding as you.

    Good luck!
    Mindy

  • Thanks Mindy!! It’s true when they say great minds think alike! Are you also getting married at the Westin?
To answer your questions, the GMs will be wearing bouts. that the fiance is making (I posted that on my blog too). And YES I will be wearing a veil for the ceremony, its a beaded mantilla veil, so I was thinking that it would be heavy enough to not fly away, but I’ll let you know! As for my hair, I do prefer my hair down, besides the fiance “suggested” I wear it down ’cause he likes it too!
As for our photographers, WE LOVE THEM!! The Haynes are such wonderful, talented people! All of our friends in Virginia Beach are using them too! It’s funny that you mention a reception, because my fiance’s parents will also be throwing us a reception in New Jersey as well!
I hope your planning is going well! Drop by with any other questions! Til then…HAPPY PLANNING and enjoy the new addition to your family! CONGRATS Auntie Mindy!

  • No, we are getting married at the Riu.

Can’t wait for your to post your pictures!

    Thanks again!
