Well I’m told that there is a proposal on its way for the flowers and I’m getting a little anxious. I had a number in my mind that I thought we had budgeted for flowers, and was afraid the quote will come in 40-50% higher. Then we analyzed the budget again and it turns out we had actually budgeted 40% less than the number I had in mind so its very likely the flower budget could come in at twice what we budgeted! I do know some of the flowers I want will be pretty expensive (in particular the orchids), but was hoping the less expensive spider mums will balance things out. Now I’m preparing myself to have to making bigger compromises. I had already expected that I’d start with the ‘wish list’ floral display and tweak it down, but I’m really hoping I don’t have to totally slash it. Really, what would you think it would cost to have a little drama on two tables? These are two long tables that will seat 20 people each. $500 per table? $750 per table? $1,000 per table? More!?!
