Sorry for the delay. I expect you have chosen a location by now, but in case anyone else has the same question: Yes, we did view other locations. Our favorite aside from the terrace was actually indoors -- their 'gallery'. It has beautiful wood floors and glass walls that see out. Its also only a few steps from the terrace, so guests could step outside if they want. Next they have their palapa which is kind of a tent. It was huge. We didn't really like it but it could be a good option for a large party. As much as I loved the terrace I did think it could get a bit tight if you also wanted dancing and want to keep some of the lounge seating. We had 43 guests and were surprised at how much room we ended up using. The other thing I could consider is poolside! While we didn't care for their pool during the day, at night its beautiful. You could have an intimate dinner up in the terrace and then walk downstairs to dancing poolside.... its right at the bottom of the stairs. Or maybe the opposite -- dinner in the gallery or poolside and then the terrace for a lounge area and dancing. In our Marriott wedding, we enjoyed having three distinct spaces for our use - beach for cocktail hour, dinner on the lawn and then dancing poolside. Best of luck to you! The Westin will do an awesome job for you if that end up being your choice. In fact anywhere you choose I'm sure will give you the wedding of your dreams!

We are interested in booking the Westin Terrace for our reception but it only fits 50 people. Did you by any chance view any backup locations at the Westin in the event we have more people?

For us she negotiated the hotel contract and we had a promo code the guests used to make their own bookings. The Marriott also offered us a "wedding website" the guests could book through but we already had a website set up so we just included a link to their reservations. (The promo code was included in the link so that it was automatically filled in if guests click through our site to theirs.) The agent can also arrange the bookings though, especially if they are booking hotel and flight. They even offer payment plans. I sent you an email with the contact info. It will come from: info@ourarubawedding.com.
